ALD™ and XLD™ Headed to Mesquite for the Crush In The Canyon

We’re excited to announce the Crush In The Canyon Super Regional for Friday July 31st and Saturday August 1, 2020 in Mesquite, Nevada. This event is presented by Golf Mesquite Nevada. After the COVID 19 lock down period, our tournament directors have struggled to get events confirmed in time to qualify hitters for the 2020 Worlds. Many of the venues we would normally work with are still not 100% up to speed and some are leery of scheduling events that crowd their ranges.

Super Regional

That’s what we’re calling it! We decided to combine planned Regional Qualifiers for Texas, California, Arizona, and Nevada into a single “Super” Regional Qualifier. Depending upon eventual participation, hitters will have an increased opportunity to qualify for the Amateur Long Drive™ and Xtreme Long Drive® Worlds (August 12th – August 15th in Myrtle Beach, SC) through this event. We normally take the winners from each division to the Worlds, but we’re planning to go deeper into the field at this event. Just how deep will depend upon the total number of hitters in each division.

The Best Grid In The Country

Part of the excitement has to do with getting our series’ on the legendary Mesquite Sports Complex grid for the first time. Known throughout our industry as the finest grid in the USA…probably the world, the Mesquite Sports Complex created the perfect long drive setup with plenty of length and a separate practice facility.

This event is open to all ALD™ and XLD™ Divisions.

ALD: Youth (boys & girls); Junior (boys & girls); Open (men and women); Senior (men and women); Super Senior (men and women); 70+ (men and women); Open Military (men and women); and Open Adaptive (men and women).

XLD™: Open (men & women); Masters (men & women); and Military (men & women)

Professional (XLD™) Purse

The minimum purse for each professional division will be 80% of the divisions entries. Leading up to the event, we will be searching for additional sponsors….but that’s a tough order right now. Please find the XLD™ purse and payout for this event HERE.

Competition Format

We’re working on a special format for this event. Check back here for that explanation. We’ll have it posted within a week of this writing.
