Come join me on my quest to compete in the 2022 Ultimate Long Drive National and World Championships. Your support will help with my event costs such as registrations, travel, lodging, and equipment.
Ultimate Long Drive (ULD) has allowed me an opportunity to fulfill a life-long dream to compete at a national and world championship level. With over 200 events annually in the USA, ULD provides competition levels for amateurs from ages 7 and under to 75+ and professional levels from ages 18 to 75+. There are adaptive divisions for players with disabilities as well as active and veteran military divisions.

Campaign Story
Hi, my name is Michael O’Reilly and I’m a 54-year-old sophomore Long Drive Hitter in the Ultimate Long Drive 50+ division. I’ve been a long ball hitter, whether baseball or golf, for over 50 years. During my short time competing in long drive I have risen to the top echelon of amateur senior hitters, winning numerous local events and one national event my first year. In fact, I ended the 2021 regular season near the top of the senior points list.
The only thing I love more than golf is raising money to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. You see, I have 3 kids, 24, 22, and 18 years-old who live with this retched disease every day. My wife (also a long driver) and I wear custom shirts at our events to help raise awareness about the need to find a cure for CF. While my kids are doing great, not every child has access to the same specialized care and medicine.
With that in mind, I would like to do something a little different. For every dollar you spend to sponsor me to help with entry fees, food and lodging, I will donate half in your name to the Salt Air Foundation.
Along with helping find a cure for CF, you can help me achieve my dream of being a National and World Long Drive Champion!

My son Killian has overcome the deadly disease of Cystic Fibrosis to become a college scholarship golfer, recording his first college win this past spring as a freshman. His strength, fortitude, and desire to be the best golfer he can be drives me to be the best golfer I can be. I WILL beat him again (someday )!
Favorite Long Drive Story:
As a lefty, I have very few choices in golf gear, so much so that when I started my career I only had one club. During the first set of one of my first events, the driver head launched off the end of my shaft about 80 yards. As there were no other lefties, I figured I was done for the day. Someone from the crowd jokingly offered a right-handed club to use. I asked if he was sure, and he sheepishly said yes.
I stepped to the hitting area and it grew suddenly quiet as I addressed the ball from my normal side but holding the right-handed club upside down. After shanking the first ball, I adjusted my stance and sent the next ball sailing down the middle of the grid. With my last swing, I pummeled the ball 288 yards down the middle to win my first ALD event.
