We designed our grid kit to be inexpensive, light weight for transporting, and quick to set up and take down. It is not invasive to the range or hole being used and leaves no residual marks. Each component has a purpose and it’s application has been tested at multiple events. Please use the recommended materials. But, by all means, if you have a suggestion form improving our grid let us know. We’ll gladly consider adjustments.
Corner Flags
The most expensive part of the grid kit are our branded corner flags. As of this writing they run between $125 and $150 for a 10′ double sided flag. The flags need to be ordered from ULD™ to get this price. We’ve seen the same flags as high at $250 online. We recommend using at least four for the corners of your grid. As you begin earning income from your series, we recommend you add more flags to your grid. The more the better it looks to hitters and spectators.
Boundary Cones
After much testing, we found the cheap plastic dome shaped soccer cones to be the best solution for marking grid boundaries. The dome shape keeps them in place. Wind actually blows them down to the ground instead of toppling them over like traditional triangle shaped cones. It is therefore not necessary to attach them to the ground with stakes. These can be purchased on Amazon for about $15 for a set of 50…which is enough to mark both grid boundaries.
Range Finder

Range Vests
Shooting yardages in the 300+ range requires a very steady hand and can at times be difficult to lock on the target. We’ve fond that a mesh vest with reflective tape helps lock the range finder onto the target quickly. We use different colors (to match ball colors) when double, triple, and quad teeing hitters.
String
Every grid kit needs some string. We use it to create a straight line between corner flags for setting boundary cones. You can reuse string from event to event, but yo may chose to toss it after each event due the time it takes to properly roll it up for reuse. As of this writing we’re experimenting with a new string solution….we’ll update later.
Tent
A popup tent is not required, but recommended. We have branded tents available, but the are not required.
Table and Cover
A 6′ table is necessary for club measuring, sign in, etc. We prefer all TDs to use our branded table cover. As of this writing they are appx $160. We do not make it a requirement, but having our brand visible in as many places as possible is very important.
