Xtreme Long Drive® (XLD) is an Exclusive Property Operated by Ultimate Long Drive, Inc.
Effective 2026 Season and Beyond
1. Corporate Ownership & League Authority
The XLD Team Series (“XLD”) is a competitive long drive property of Xtreme Long Drive®, which is wholly owned and operated by Ultimate Long Drive, Inc. (ULD).
XLD operates as a division and program within the ULD corporate structure.
Ultimate Long Drive, Inc. retains full ownership of:
- The Xtreme Long Drive® trademark and brand
- All related intellectual property
- League formats and competitive structures
- Media rights and distribution rights
- Data rights and betting rights
- Sponsorship rights and league partnerships
XLD does not operate as a separate legal entity.
All league operations, governance, and commercial activities are conducted under the authority of Ultimate Long Drive, Inc.
2. League Structure & Participation Model
The XLD Team Series operates under a license-based participation model.
- Team participation is granted via a revocable annual Team Participation License issued by Ultimate Long Drive, Inc.
- Team participation does not constitute a franchise.
- Team participation does not convey:
- Equity
- Ownership interest
- Territorial exclusivity
- Profit guarantees
- Voting rights
- Governance rights
Ultimate Long Drive, Inc. retains sole authority to:
- Issue and revoke team licenses
- Add or remove teams
- Expand or contract the league
- Modify competitive formats
- Establish revenue participation programs
- Enter into media, sponsorship, data, and betting agreements
All references to “XLD” within this document refer to the XLD Team Series as operated by Ultimate Long Drive, Inc.
3. Team Ownership & Operating Rights
Each team is operated by a Team Owner (License Holder) under a Team Participation License.
Team Owners:
- Control team branding (within league guidelines)
- Manage roster decisions within league rules
- Secure team-level sponsors (subject to category restrictions and league approvals)
- Represent the team publicly
Team Owners do not:
- Own league intellectual property
- Control league governance
- Possess territorial exclusivity
- Possess equity or ownership interest in ULD or XLD
4. Team Composition & Roster Standards
Each team must maintain:
- The league-mandated minimum number of active athletes
- Athletes in good standing with XLD
- Compliance with all competitive, conduct, and media policies
Roster size limits, classifications, and divisions are established by XLD and may be amended.
5. Owner Protection Pick (Entry Privilege)
Each new Team Owner entering XLD for the first time is entitled to select one (1) athlete of their choosing as a protected player.
- This is a one-time privilege per ownership entry
- This is not seasonal and not renewable
- The protected athlete is assigned to the team prior to the draft
- The protected athlete is not eligible for the draft
Selections must be submitted by the deadline established by XLD and are final.
6. XLD Draft System
All remaining roster positions are filled via the official XLD Draft.
The Draft Pool includes:
- Undrafted athletes
- Released athletes
- Returning athletes
- Temporary call-ups returning to eligibility
- Expansion draft releases
No pre-draft commitments, promises, or side agreements are permitted.
7. Draft Order Protocol
7.1 Initial Entry Draft (Launch Season)
- Draft order determined by random draw
- Draft conducted in snake format
7.2 Ongoing Seasonal Draft Order
Draft order will be determined by prior season finish:
- Last place team
- Second-to-last
- Continuing in order
- League Champion selects last
This structure is intended to promote competitive balance.
8. Player Trades
Player and draft pick trades are permitted beginning with league launch.
8.1 Permitted Trade Assets
- Player for player
- Player plus draft pick
- Draft pick for draft pick
- Player for future draft consideration
8.2 Prohibited Transactions
- Cash exchanges between owners
- Sponsor assets tied to player movement
- Temporary player loans
- Undisclosed conditions or side agreements
8.3 Trade Approval
All trades must:
- Be submitted in writing to XLD
- Receive written approval from XLD prior to execution
XLD may deny any trade that:
- Harms competitive balance
- Involves collusion
- Exploits inexperienced owners
- Circumvents league rules
8.4 Trade Deadline
XLD may establish seasonal trade deadlines.
9. Expansion Draft
When new teams are added, an Expansion Draft will be conducted.
9.1 Mandatory Player Release
Each existing team must release one (1) athlete into the Expansion Draft Pool.

9.2 Strategic Intent
This structure:
- Supports competitive balance
- Enables new teams to be viable immediately
- Encourages strategic roster planning
10. In-Season Roster Loss & Temporary Call-Ups
If a team cannot field a full roster due to:
- Injury
- Medical issue
- Personal emergency
- Disqualification
- Other approved cause
The Team Owner may request a Temporary Call-Up from the Draft Pool.
10.1 Call-Up Status
- Call-up athletes are not permanently rostered
- Call-up athletes must re-enter the next draft
- The team retains no rights to the call-up athlete
11. Minimum Roster Compliance
Teams must maintain the minimum active roster at all times.
Failure to comply will require:
- Immediate correction via call-up
- Or other league-approved remedy
12. Player Eligibility
All athletes must:
- Meet XLD competitive standards
- Be registered with the league
- Agree to conduct, media, and integrity policies
XLD reserves the right to:
- Deny eligibility
- Revoke eligibility
- Impose suspensions
13. Anti-Tampering / No Poaching Policy
Team Owners may not:
- Recruit athletes under contract to another team
- Promise roster positions outside league procedures
- Circumvent draft, trade, or expansion rules
Violations may result in:
- Loss of draft picks
- Fines
- License suspension or revocation
14. Betting, Data & Integrity Policy
Ultimate Long Drive, Inc. retains exclusive control over:
- Betting rights
- Data licensing
- Integrity monitoring
- Wagering partnerships
Teams and athletes:
- May not enter private betting agreements
- May not exploit insider information
- Must comply with all integrity protocols
XLD may, at its discretion, establish revenue participation programs related to betting, media, sponsorship, or data. Participation in such programs is not guaranteed.
15. League Authority & Final Determination
The XLD League Office retains final authority over:
- Draft procedures
- Trade approvals
- Eligibility
- Roster disputes
- Team participation
- Competitive formats
All league decisions are final.
16. Amendments
Ultimate Long Drive, Inc. reserves the right to amend these standards and policies at any time in order to:
- Improve competitive balance
- Address operational needs
- Protect the integrity of the league
- Respond to regulatory requirements
