The Next Evolution of Long Drive Competition
Ultimate Long Drive, Inc. (ULD) is opening Xtreme Long Drive® (XLD) Team Licensing for the 2026 season. XLD is a high-intensity, team-based, indoor version of long drive, designed for close-quarters competition, spectator engagement, and digital-first distribution.
The 2026 season will serve as a strategic soft opening, allowing ULD to align with select partners, venues, and operators as the series is introduced and refined.
What Is XLD?
XLD is a team-driven long drive competition format built specifically for:
-
Indoor venues (While indoor venues are the primary target, we interveave some outdoor XLD competitions)
-
Simulator facilities
-
Performance centers
-
Purpose-built competition spaces
Unlike traditional outdoor long drive, XLD operates in a controlled environment that enables:
-
Year-round competition
-
Faster, more frequent events
-
Consistent production standards
-
Strong spectator and streaming appeal
The format preserves the explosive athleticism of long drive while making the sport accessible in markets where outdoor venues are limited or seasonal.
Why a Team Model?
The XLD structure is built around licensed teams, creating:
-
Stronger athlete identity and loyalty
-
Ongoing rivalries and storytelling
-
Expanded sponsorship opportunities
-
Repeat engagement across a season
Teams become year-round assets — not one-event entities — supporting sustainable growth for operators and partners.
2026: A Strategic Soft Opening
The 2026 XLD season is intentionally positioned as a soft launch, not a mass rollout.
This allows ULD to:
-
Establish operational and competition standards
-
Partner with the right venues and destinations
-
Refine formats in live environments
-
Build a scalable foundation for future expansion
Licenses will be limited during this initial phase.
First Rights for Existing ULD Licensees
